Adoptive / Foster Families

Overview:

Once you have your child(ren), you can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The waiting is over, the paper trail has ended and the questions have been answered. Well, at least some of them. The journey ahead will have its own peaks and valleys. That’s where we come in. FACES offers a variety of supportive and resourceful connections to help your family thrive. Below is a list of services we regularly offer. Check our events (Link) to the right for all of our upcoming events. 

Annually

Celebrate Adoption – Held in November of each year, Celebrate Adoption is an event for families finalizing adoptions and to celebrate families which have finalized adoptions in the past year. FACES has previously partnered with SPCO, LSS, DPHHS and Wendy’s of Montana for this event.

Adoption Family Camping – Annual event for families to gather during the summer for parent enrichment and family bonding.

Workshop/Education – FACES hosts the Empowered to Connect Simulcast at a local venue. This year’s conference will be held April 27-28, 2018. 

Quarterly

Kid’s Night Out – Free evening of child-care provided for kids from 6-9 p.m. Kids are provided a fun evening of games, movies and dinner while parents are free to do whatever will best serve them for self-care. FACES has partnered with SPCO to provide this event.

Community Family Gathering – Open evening for adoptive/foster families to gather in a social atmosphere and connect. Dinner is provided enabling families to focus on creating community.

Monthly

Embrace Families – A monthly support gathering for adoptive/foster parents to continue to learn, grow and receive support. Dinner and child-care are provided. Parents are able to enjoy dinner with other adoptive/foster parents for a time of connection and support followed by an empowerment group where a facilitator provides parents with a time of learning and growth.

Mom’s Power Lunch – A monthly support group meeting for adoptive/foster moms to gather for a “power lunch” to connect and recharge.
